Passionate about making videos? And a natural in front of the camera? If so, this is an opportunity for you!\nWe\u2019re\u00a0looking for\u00a08\u00a0volunteers*\u00a0to\u00a0be part of our Young Creators programme. This new initiative aims to provide a voice to young people and\u00a0showcase\u00a0the topics that they feel are important.\n*\u00a0We&#8217;d\u00a0ideally\u00a0like to\u00a0include one participant in the European Solidarity Corps Programme, one participant in\u00a0DiscoverEU, and one member of the EYCA Youth Panel. All 8 volunteers should have a valid European Youth Card.\nWhat is the Young Creators programme?\nWe think\u00a0the best people to talk about matters relevant to young people,\u00a0are\u00a0young people themselves. Involving young people is at the core of our actions.\u00a0That\u2019s\u00a0why\u00a0we\u2019re\u00a0bringing together a group of creative thinkers to produce content focused on the topics that matter to them and other young people.\nIn\u00a0short\u00a0the programme will work as follows:\u00a0\n\nFirst,\u00a0you\u2019ll join the other young creators for\u00a0a\u00a0training in Paris, France from 25-29 April2025\u00a0(travel days included).\u00a0You\u2019ll\u00a0learn all the tricks to get the story\u00a0just right, find the perfect way to structure your message and adapt it to your audience.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0also at this training that\u00a0we\u2019ll\u00a0agree on which topics\u00a0we\u2019d\u00a0like to\u00a0talk about\u00a0in the videos.\nThen it\u2019s over to you. You\u2019ll get to film and produce a series of videos that raise the visibility of issues that matter to young people. You\u2019ll have plenty of freedom in terms of story format and who you\u2019ll want to work with. We\u2019ll be actively supporting you throughout the journey.\n\nIn total,\u00a0we\u2019ll\u00a0ask that you produce at least 5 short\u00a0videos\u00a0(social media friendly) and 1 long-format\u00a0video\u00a0(i.e. \u2018a day in the life of\u2019 vlog, or something similar).\u00a0We\u2019ll\u00a0provide you\u00a0with\u00a0all the skills and tools for this, you just need creativity!\nThe programme will last for one year and\u00a0you\u2019ll\u00a0have the chance to join some EYCA events along the way, connecting with even more young (and older) engaged people across Europe.\nWhat should be my profile?\nApplicants should have the following profile:\n\nAged between\u00a018-25years old and\u00a0live in\u00a0a country with an EYCA member.\nBe a passionate advocate about causes relevant to young people, and ready to bring visibility to them.\nHave some experience (even amateur) in video creation and some social media presence, even through your own channels. You should be comfortable in front of a camera and with reaching out to members of your community.\nAvailable to join the training (25-29 April 2025 \u2013 travel days included).\nBe engaged in the programme for its entire duration (until April 2026). Don\u2019t worry, you won\u2019t be busy every day, and you can fit your video creation around your own schedule.\nWhile we\u2019re eager for people to speak their minds, EYCA remains a politically neutral entity. As such, you should not be a representative of a political party. The videos should be non-partisan and push for general collaboration to tackle youth issues.\nWorking-knowledge of English \u2013 as this is the language we\u2019ll communicate it. The videos will also be produced in English to reach a wider audience.\nHave a valid European Youth Card.\n\nOf the 8 volunteers selected for the project,\u00a0we\u2019re looking for: one person enrolled in the European Solidarity Corps and another who\u2019s participating in the DiscoverEU pogramme (with the respective projects\/trips taking place between April 2025 &#8211; April 2026). If this applies to you, let us know in the registration form!\nAnother spot will be kept for a member of the EYCA Youth Panel. The five other spots will\u00a0be\u00a0selected\u00a0openly from any applicants with a European Youth Card and respecting the criteria above.\nHow can I apply?\nStep 1\u00a0\nRecord a video in English no longer than 60 seconds (i.e.\u00a0IG reel) according to the following scenario:\nYou\u2019re organising a local event to pick up litter (i.e. street clean-up). You want to get the community involved, not only to make the area clean but also to encourage people to stop leaving trash around. Make a creative video to bring people to your event and raise visibility on this topic.\n*** You\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0need to organise this event;\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0only hypothetical for this application. But if you want to organise one, go for it! ***\nStep 2\nUpload the video to YouTube as a short.\nStep 3\u00a0\nFill in this\u00a0application form\u00a0and don\u2019t forget to include your YouTube link.
